Description
Abdelkébir Rabi', born in 1944 in the Middle Atlas in Morocco, has developed a body of works - drawing and painting, figuration and abstraction - that has established itself over time with a quiet and unerring force and without the slightest compromise.
The artist's very personal work takes the form of a spiritual journey, a meditation on the human condition, a universal philosophical creation that believes in an inspiration that transcends borders.
This monograph presents Abdelkébir Rabi's different periods, from his early works to his latest series - infinitive variations on a central theme, in which black and white, the symbols of the absolute, are sometimes punctuated with touches of colour - and his large drawings of nature, trees and rocks, rendered in graphite, which reflect his concern for the future of the planet.
