L'ENJEU DU COUPLE

Ni la parole donnée, ni la signature d'un contrat, ni la sexualité vécue n'ont le pouvoir de rendre le couple durable. Pas même l'affectivité et la volonté de suivre d'excellents conseils. Alors que nous y avions cru, l'amour rencontre un jour presque inévitablement insatisfaction et manque. La brèche qui s'ouvre ainsi dans le couple peut être sa chance. Se différencier de l'autre, pour devenir qui l'on est, en restant relié : impossible jonction ou paradoxal accomplissement ? Tel est l'enjeu du couple, et le creuset de son indissolubilité. La différence entre la femme et l'homme appelle une conversion radicale du désir. L'autre ne sera jamais mon tout, pas plus que je ne dois l'être pour lui, pour elle. Cet écart, lieu de la parole et de la rencontre, désigne la place du Dieu unique et proche par son Christ. Qui accepte l'offre « Je t'aime comme tu es » adressera un jour à l'autre cette parole, venue du souffle nouveau qui rend libre.
