The new collections catalogue "Musée des Amériques - Auch" (320p - over 500 illustrations) presents the rich diversity and richness of this collection established over more than two centuries.Musée des Amériques in Auch is the first museum in France labeled by the Ministry of Culture "National center of interest". It holds the second largest collection of pre-Colombian and religious Latino-American art in France after the Musée Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac in Paris.All local cultures are largely represented in this book: Andes (Chavin, Mochica, Nasca, Inca ...), Central an Meso-American (Teotihuacan, Zapotec, Maya, Aztec , Huastec, Totonac ...).In more, several local themes get attention: Peruvian erotic potery, silverwork from the Andes, Mexcian plumasserie, Gallo-Roman frescoes of Roquelaure, abbey of Saint-Orens in Auch, even the painters Jean-Louis Rouméguère and Mario Cavaglieri.
